 Carmine “Big Carm” Molinaro Sr., 86 of Washington died Saturday- January 20, 2018 in his home following a lengthy illness.  He was born June 7, 1931 in Washington the son of the late Salvatore & Virginia DeSarro Molinaro.  Mr. Molinaro was employed for many years for Tri State Engineering and later was employed at the Observer -Reporter Publishing Company.  He enjoyed carpentry work and loved sports.  He had at one time coached Bronco League Baseball, was President of the Colt League and helped coach the Trinity High School freshmen baseball team with his son.  Mr. Molinaro was sometimes called the “Mayor of West End”.  In a days-time he would travel to the Eat’n Park Restaurant, The Tower Restaurant & Shorty’s making that his daily routine.  He enjoyed his family to the fullest always being a part of his children’s and grandchildren’s lives and activities.

Mr. Molinaro was formerly married to Priscilla Mirto Hodgens of Washington who survives.  On December 30, 1969 he married Donna L. Cooper Molinaro of Washington who survives.  Also surviving are his children; 3 daughters; Pamela “Pammy” (Thomas) Tarr Sr. of Washington, Tamela “Tammy” (Ricky) Stamm of Canonsburg, & Virginia (George) Grosheim of Florida, a son; Carmine (Colette) Molinaro Jr. of Washington, 2 brothers; Pete Molinaro of Washington & Joseph (Claudia) Molinaro of Washington, 10 grandchildren; Maranda Tarr, Nikki Tarr, Kayla (Joseph) Lawrence, Mercedes Stamm, Tony Sobrasky, Autumn Sobrasky, Blake Molinaro, McKenzie Molinaro, Niccolo Molinaro & Gianni Molinaro.  10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.  Mr. Molinaro is also survived by a dear friend of 45 years; Clyde Yater. 

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Molinaro was preceded in death by a grandson; Thomas “Tom Cat” Tarr Jr., 7 brothers; Guy Miller, Sam Molinaro, Frank Molinaro, Tony Molinaro, Tinker Molinaro, John Molinaro,  & Jimmy Molinaro, 2 sisters; Mary Chicarella & Angeline Hickman. 

Friends will be received from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday-January 24, 2018 in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held on Thursday-January 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Champion Christian Center, 110 Belmont Ave. Canonsburg Pa. 15317 or to The Washington County Crime Victims Memorial Gardens, 39 Elkie Drive, Washington, Pa. 15301.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
