D. William “Bill” Roberts, 85 of Sewickley, formerly of Shadyside died Saturday- April 22, 2017 at his home.  He was born September 6, 1931 in Washington the son of the late Donald & Mary Roberts.  Mr. Roberts received his Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University & attended Purdue University.  He had been employed as a Marketing Director at the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation for many years.  Mr. Roberts had been a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Life Member of the Oakmont Yacht Club, National Welsh-American Foundation & the Variety Club of Pittsburgh.  He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant serving 18 months in Korea being awarded the Army Commendation Medal.  Mr. Roberts was also a member of the following organizations; Avalon Lodge No. 657 F. & A.M., Bellevue Chapter No. 286 R.A.M., Mt. Moriah Council No. 2 R. & S.M., Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1 K.T., Valley of Pittsburgh, serving as Thrice Potent Master, Treasurer & Editor of the Rite News, Past Chairman of the Child Learning Center, Honorary Member of the Supreme Council, 33rd.degree & Past District Deputy Grand Master.  He also belonged to Syria Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.  Throughout Bill’s Masonic career he belonged to numerous subordinate Masonic bodies & served on many Masonic Committees.
