Vera L. Anderson

Vera L. Anderson, 86 of Washington died Wednesday-December 27, 2017 at 6:47 a.m. at the Donnell House, Washington.  She was born June 14, 1931 in Washington the daughter of the late William & Elma A. Sweitzer Irwin.  She was a homemaker and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Mrs. Anderson was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church.

On October 23, 1948 she married William Joseph Anderson who died October 18, 2015.

Surviving is her son-in-law; Gary Zofchak of Washington, granddaughter-in-law; Shannon Zofchak of Colorado, 2 grandchildren; Elizabeth (Frank) Gladysz of Washington & Jason (Janell) Zofchak of North Charleroi, 8 great-grandchildren; Kala & Ty Zofchak of Colorado, Ashlee & Emilee Gladysz of Washington, Gracie Jae Zofchak & Grady Joseph Zofchak of North Charleroi, Anna Stewart & Allen Gunia of North Charleroi.  Also surviving is her loyal companion; (her maltese dog) “Molly”.

In addition to her mother, father and husband, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her daughter; Karen Anderson Zofchak, a son; William Joseph Anderson Jr., four brothers; James D. Irwin, William R. Irwin, Kenneth H. Irwin & Martin G. Irwin, a sister; Lucille McCartney and a grandson; Brian J. Zofchak.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.  Burial will be private in the Washington Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E.
