Elaine B. Watson, 92 of Houston, Pa. born and raised in Redwood Falls, Minnesota died Saturday-January 21, 2017 unexpectedly at the Washington Hospital.  She was born September 3, 1924 in Wabasso, Minnesota the daughter of the late Burlyn E. & Leona L. Hauptli Barnes.  Mrs. Watson was employed as a secretary for the USDA Farmers Home Administration for many years until her retirement.  She was a member and was very active at Meadowlands United Methodist Church and also at the United Methodist Women’s Society along with the Dames of Malta.  Mrs. Watson volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the Senior Citizens Center in Chartiers Twp.  She enjoyed bingo, reading and traveling.  It was not uncommon for Mrs. Watson along with her friends or family members to drive out of town at a great distance to visit family.  She was very involved with and supported all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren to the fullest.  Up until the very day that she passed away she was in excellent condition and lived life to the fullest.

On June 27, 1948 she married Lewis Floyd Watson who died on July 4, 2004.  Surviving are her children; Jerry L. (Connie) Watson of Johnstown, Sandra L. (Jeff) Burd of Follansbee, West Virginia, & Vickie L. Watson of Pittsburgh, brothers; Richard Barnes, Myrl Barnes, Burlyn Barnes Jr., & Dallas Barnes, sisters; Marilyn Guardia, Audrey Tracy, Bette Lou Barnes & Sharon Kretch, 11 grandchildren; Shannon, Jerrod, Nicholas, Bradley, Kimber, Alexander, Janiece, Afton, Kaleena, Brianna, & Luke, 5 great-grandchildren; Lexi-Ann, Emma, Sahara, Dean, & Adam.  Several nieces & nephews also survive. 

Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Sandra Barnes & Virginia Norcutt, 6 brothers; Daryl Barnes, Dewan Barnes, Duane Barnes, Rupert Barnes, Dean Barnes & James Barnes. 

Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday-January 24, 2017 at the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday-January 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Debra Rogosky officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Meadow Lands United Methodist Church, 535 Pike St. P.O.
