John "Gilbert" Heyman
/John “Gilbert” Heyman, 80 of Washington formerly of Los Angeles, California passed away on Tuesday-January 10, 2017 at 10:53 P.M. in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born February 7, 1936 in Washington Pa. the son of the late Charles “Bridy” and Zella Chatman Heyman. Mr. Heyman was Baptist by faith and was employed as a police officer in Los Angeles until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and he enjoyed watching NASCAR.
On May 4, 1984 he married Alice Charley Heyman who survives. Also surviving are his children; Rolanda Charley, Sonseeahray Heyman, Sonronda Heyman, Sabrina Heyman, Marsi Starrett, Gloria Heyman, Linda Heyman, Ella Heyman, Mario Heyman and John “Chris” Heyman, one brother; Charles Heyman, one sister; Zella Howard, sixteen grandchildren; Ashley, Robert, Joshua, Jon, Karon, Tevin, Ericka, Davontae, Shamar, Kevin, Ricky, Savanna, Olivia, Asia, Tamara and Rodnaea, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Friends will be received on Saturday-January 14, 2017 from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave. Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. on Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Oliver G.
