Clyde B. Jones Jr.

Clyde B. Jones Jr., 80 of Washington passed away on Tuesday-September 1, 2015 at 7:32 A.M. in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born December 31, 1934 in Wheeling, West Virginia the son of the late Clyde B. Jones Sr. and Lilian Jackson Jones. He was a graduate of West Virginia State University. Mr. Jones was employed by the United States Post Office as a mail carrier. He served in the United States Army for 21 years retiring with the rank of Major. Mr. Jones was an avid golfer and was a member of the Swingers Golf Club.

Mr. Jones is survived by two sons; Clyde B. Jones III and Rodney L. Jones, one daughter; Dana L. (Guy) Williams, one sister; Marylou Harris, one sister-in-law; Gwendolyn Gordon, five grandchildren; Colby, Trevor, Katara, Pamela and Christopher and one great-grandchild; Serayah.

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Ellen “Reekie” Strothers Jones. The couple enjoyed 55 wonderful years of marriage.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday-September 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc.,Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. The Rev. Sonja Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded graveside by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175 and the United States Army. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org. Online condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
