Shirley A. Grace Loving Mother & Grandmother Shirley A. Grace 85, of Washington formerly of Northgate Apt., Shannon Avenue & Erie died Monday-September 15, 2014 at 11:25 p.m. at Evergreen Assisted Living. She was born August 20, 1929 in Washington the daughter of the late Wallie & Pearl Cole Jefferson. Mrs. Grace was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Washington. She was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1946, Bellvue School of Nursing in New York in 1951 and Edinboro University in 1971. Mrs. Grace was employed as a registered nurse at Hamot Hospital and at St Vincent Hospital in Erie and was also employed as a school nurse in Erie. Upon her return to Washington, Mrs. Grace was employed by Canonsburg General Hospital. She loved to travel, enjoyed volunteer work and helping out at the Citizens Library. Mrs. Grace was formerly married to Willie Grace who died in 2006. Surviving are two sons; Gregory (Elizabeth) Grace of Pittsburgh & Darryl (Patricia) Grace of Erie, four grandchildren; Stephen, Sydney, Darryl Jr., & Monica, four great grandchildren; Kameron, Gavin, Jazmine & Briyanna, several nieces and one nephew also survive. Mrs. Grace was preceded in death by four sisters; Vennetta Carter, Madelyn Thomas, Lois I. Jefferson & Althea J. Williams. Friends will be received on Thursday-September 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. Additional visitation will be held on Friday-September 19, 2014 in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. the hour of a Home Going Service with the Rev. Arthur E. Doctor Jr., officiating.
