Wayne Amber Wayne Amber, 82 of Washington formerly of South Fayette Twp. died Tuesday- December 30, 2014 in his home. He was born June 5, 1932 in Stow Twp., the son of the late Michael and Garnet Burns Amber. Mr. Amber was employed for Pittsburgh & Ohio Valley Railways at Neville Island for over 40 years. He was the President of the Railroad at the time of his retirement. He was a former member of the Traffic & Transportation Association in Pittsburgh. He served in the United States Air Force & the United States Navy on the USS Hugh Purvis DD709. Mr. Amber received the Navy Occupation Service Medal & the National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Amber also enjoyed gardening and being the loving “Pap” to his granddaughters whom he loved so dearly. On October 16, 1953 he married Carole A. Sacco Amber who survives. Also surviving are their children, son; Don W. Amber (Tami Frankhouser) of Peters Twp., daughters; Beth Amber (James Emswiller) of Pittsburgh, Donna J. (Richard) Adasiak of South Strabane and Sandy M. Also surviving are two granddaughters; Nicole Amber (David) Wallace & Audrey Adasiak along with several nieces & nephews. Mr. Amber was preceded in death by 5 brothers & 6 sisters. Friends will be received on Thursday-January 1, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. Interment will be held on Friday-January 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Those wishing to attend the interment are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Friday to form the procession to the cemetery.
