Pamela Denise Startare

Pamela Denise Startare, 73, of Washington, PA, passed away early Sunday morning, December 1, 2024.  She was born November 3, 1951, in Manhattan, New York, a daughter of the late Salina and Wray Grantz. 

Pam graduated from Washington High School and was a hard worker at many different jobs throughout her life.  She was very proud of owning and operating the Pancake Skate ‘N Whirl in Washington, where she dedicated years of her life to providing a safe and fun place for children to gather.

Pam was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Haines, and she lovingly cared for Tammy’s five children until the time our Lord called her home.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Penny Bear Stott and brother, Herbie Grantz.

Pam is survived by her husband, John Startare; a son, Eric (Jill) Startare; twin sister, Patricia (William) Watson; sister, Jill Ann (Sal) Di Piazza; stepchildren, Michele (Albert) Palamara, John (Terri) Startare, and Joseph (Jody) Startare; several nieces and nephews, as well as many grandchildren whom she adored.

She will forever be remembered for her caring heart and love for her family.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 2 P.M until 6 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S.
