Lawrence M. Patterson
/Lawrence M. “Babe” Patterson, 80, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born March 29, 1944, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Lawrence G. and Racheal Chandler Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. He was employed as a delivery driver for Royal Crown and was also employed at one time at Metro Glass. Mr. Patterson also worked at A.N.B. Co. as a welder for 19 years. He also served as a constable for 50 years and worked at Washington Hospital in security for almost 30 years. At one time, Mr. Patterson was also employed at the Y.M.C.A. where he held many positions and was even a basketball coach. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Rebecca J. Patterson. Also surviving are two sons, Brian (Dawn) Patterson Lloyd and Troy Patterson; three daughters, Stephanie (Tony) Patterson Dayton, Celena (Joe) Patterson Slider, and Melissa (Mike) Patterson Sparrow; three brothers, Larry Patterson, Lennie (Anna) Patterson, and Teddy Patterson; a sister, Linda (Kim) Adkins; fourteen grandchildren, Michael, Lorenzo, Ashlei, Kesia, Courtney, Tanyalea, Corbin, Dylan, Joseph, Troy, Jr., Jolena, Mya, Dylan, and Adaisen, and nine great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence Leman Patterson and William Charles Patterson, and by a daughter, Tanya Helen Patterson.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Sue Petritis officiating.
