Thomas J. Carrigan

Thomas J. Carrigan, 71, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, surrounded by his family.  He was born July 29, 1953, in New Kensington, PA, a son of the late James and Gabriella Kaminski Carrigan.  Tom was a 1971 graduate of Springdale High School.  He worked as a coal miner for over 40 years at various coal mines, most recently at Emerald Mine from where he retired. Tom enjoyed boating, having breakfast with his coal mining buddies, and working with his hands, tinkering with and fixing things.  He took great pride in his lawn and enjoyed spending time with his dogs.  Most of all Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

On April 4, 1981, he married Deborah S. Myers, who survives.  Also surviving are three daughters, Jamie Carrigan of Sesser, IL, April Carrigan of Washington, PA, and Amy (Josh) Katruska of Pleasant Hills, PA; two brothers, James (Karen) Carrigan of New York and Michael (Brenda) Carrigan of Cheswick, PA; two sisters, Linda (Tom) Kleeb of Gibsonia, PA and Teresa Stumpf of Springdale, PA, and five grandchildren, Brennen, Dakota, Brianna, Gabby, and Micah.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas M. Carrigan, a sister, Ginger Goddard, and a brother-in-law, Bill Goddard.

Friends will be received on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S.
