Terrance "Teck" Syrek

Terrance “Teck” Syrek, 84 of Washington died Wednesday-August 17, 2016 at the Washington Hospital Emergency Room. He was born August 21, 1931 in Washington the son of the late John & Anna Marie Sapp Syrek. Mr. Syrek was employed as a Manufacturer’s Representative at Washington Penn until his retirement. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. He was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School. Mr. Syrek was a member of Nemacolin Country Club, where he loved to golf. He was also a member of the Alpine Club, Washington B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #776, Jessop Club and a former member of the Pulaski Club. Mr. Syrek was an avid Sports fan especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers of which he was a season ticket holder for many years. For many years, Mr. Syrek, his brother; John Syrek, Rudy Dinardo and family, and many friends put on tailgate parties in Pittsburgh before home Steeler games. He also enjoyed all kinds of music. The greatest love of his life, however, was his son; Terry.

Mr. Syrek married Donna Fenton Syrek who is deceased. Surviving is his son; Terrance F. Syrek of White Plains, New York, his grandson; Luke Syrek of White Plains, New York, a brother; Richard Syrek of Philadelphia, a sister; Marguerite Gardner of Philadelphia. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive, including Alyson and David Syrek, Melodie Scherer, Max Trembour, and Jordan and Sean Montgomery.

Mr. Syrek was preceded in death by not only his wife but by a brother; John Syrek and a nephew; Kent Montgomery.

Friends will be received on Monday-August 22, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A prayer service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday-August 23, 2016 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.
