William C. Markley, III
William C. “Bill” Markley, III, 82, of Washington, died on Monday, September 23, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1942, in Washington, PA, a son of the late William and Emma Gladden Markley. Bill enjoyed all Pittsburgh sports, shooting pool, golfing, and loved peanut M&M’s. He also loved spending time with all his family. Bill was a member of the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 Honor Guard and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish.
On September 1, 1960, he married Catherine Allen, who passed away May 28, 2023. He leaves behind four children, Kimberly A. DiGiandomenico, William C. (Karen) Markley IV, Traci Mathis, and Bradly (Kathy) Markley; a brother, James (Jann) Markley; eight grandchildren, Danielle Jacobs, Jessica Jacobs, Keith (Ashley) Jacobs, Karrie Porter, William C. (Jessica) Markley V, Zee Mathis, Olivia (Da’Shawn Sr.) Markley, and Emma (Daniel) Markley, and fifteen great grandchildren, Myairah, Troi, Isaiah, Kehlani, Londyn, Nina, Gia, Dylan, Dashawn Jr., Wytt, Billy, Oliver, Monty, Karlee and Dylan. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director. A prayer service will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, PA. Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
