Jane W. Fedis
Jane W. Fedis of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born March 2, 1933, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ward. She was a Trinity High School graduate.
Jane worked as a retail salesperson for many years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and had a green thumb when it came to indoor plants. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, especially visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved all animals and was well known for having a kitchen decorated with all types of roosters. Jane loved to travel to the New Jersey shore for annual family vacations.
On June 7, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Augustine "Gus" Fedis who passed away on April 26, 2021.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin (Ken) Gesuale of Pittsburgh and Terrie (Tim) Georgalas of Washington; five grandchildren, Jenn (Ron Chemski) Gesuale, Michael (Diane Fisher) Gesuale, Mandy (Patrick) Elston, Matthew (Erin) Georgalas, and Jules (Mike) Majer, and eight great grandchildren, Ash, Kylie, Kallie, Sophie, Francis, August, Malcolm, and Mackenzie.
Despite being in ill health, she was determined to see her eighth great grandchild who was born 10 days prior to her death. This was a true testament to her love of family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard T. "Birdeye" Ward.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. Rev. Jude Urso will officiate.
