Margaret Ann Curran

Margaret “Peg” Ann Curran, also known as “Lady”, 73, of Myrtle Beach SC, formerly of Prosperity, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the Washington Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was born October 17, 1949, in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late George W. McAnallen and Jean E. Lawton McAnallen of Washington, PA who survives.  Mrs. Curran was 1967 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and a 1971 graduate of St. Mary’s College.  She was an avid business women, controlling the finances of many of the family owned businesses.  Mrs. Curran enjoyed gardening, occasionally golfing, reading, needle work, sun bathing, and collecting elephant memorabilia.  She loved all animals, especially her puppies.  Mrs. Curran also enjoyed a good practical joke and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

On September 25, 1982, she married B. Timothy Curran who survives.  Also surviving are two brothers, Charles (Suzanne) McAnallen and Daniel (Bonnie) McAnallen; three sisters, Patricia O’Leary, Mary Sue “Sam” Bracey, and Laurie (John) Abel.  Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. 

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, Daniel S. O’Leary.
