Lyndon Keith Hammond

Lyndon Keith Hammond of Washington transitioned into heaven with his Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.  He was born in Washington, PA the son of the late Burnell and Wadie Hammond.  Mr. Hammond was a graduate of Trinity High School and served in the United States Air Force.  He was Christian by faith and was employed by McGraw Edison.  Mr. Hammond was a Gospel singer, loved going to auto shows and also enjoyed attending the air shows in Latrobe.  He was an avid Pirate and Steeler fan and was active in feeding the homeless in Pittsburgh.  Mr. Hammond will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him. 

Surviving is his wife, Roz Hammond of Washington; three Godchildren, Jamila Ponton (Alvin) Bragg of Manhattan, New York, Thema Ponton of The Bronx, New York and Adom Martin of The Bronx, New York; a sister, Gail Lash of Philadelphia; two sisters in law, Elaine Frazier of Washington and Sharmayne Booker of Wheeling and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hammond was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Hammond.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, April 24, 2023 in the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Bruckner officiating.  Interment will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.  Full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post # 175 and the United States Air Force.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling St. Washington PA 15301.  Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
