Cecelia Dolores Bauer Cook
Cecelia Dolores Bauer Cook, 93, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023 in Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born November 22, 1929, in Grove City, PA the daughter of the late Alexander and Philomena Heckman Bauer.
Cecelia was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish and St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Florence, SC. She loved the outdoors and gardening. Cecelia at one time volunteered in the infant nursery at McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC. Most of all Cecelia loved being with her family. Her family was her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On November 24, 1951, she married Frederick J. Cook, who passed away in January of 2003. She is survived by a son, Paul (Jamie) Cook of Washington, PA; four daughters, Barbara (Randy) Grimes of North Carolina, Patricia (Al) Cook of Scenery Hill, PA, Mary Elizabeth (Stephen) Head of South Carolina, and Amy (Doug) Amon of South Carolina. She was the last of her immediate family. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, Philip, Eric, Jacqueline, Joseph, Jessica, Dylan, Katie, Alexander, Ian, Nycole, Colleen, Maxwell, Danielle, and Dominic; and seven great grandchildren, Philip Jr., Liam, Harper, Hudson, Cayden, Parker, and Evelyn Brynn who is on her way. Also surviving is a daughter in law, Geraldine.
In addition to her parents and husband, Cecelia was preceded in death by three sons, Timothy, James, and Stephen Cook; a brother, Al Bauer; and three sisters, Katherine, Mary Lou, and Margaret.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A prayer service will held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, April 14, 2023 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W.
