Nellie M. Tarbuck
Nellie M. Tarbuck, 92, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2023, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, following a brief illness. She was born on May 24, 1931, in Scenery Hill, PA, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Rose Ulanosky Bogochenko. Mrs. Tarbuck was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Charleroi, PA. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary for Mike Tarbuck Jr. & Sons, Inc. and took care of the family’s rental properties. Mrs. Tarbuck was a committee woman for many years in the Washington County Democratic Party. She was a member of the Eastern Star Martha V. Paul Chapter 404 and was also a member of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Margaret E. Caven Shrine No. 42. Mrs. Tarbuck enjoyed watching baseball and football, cooking, gardening, canning, shopping, and having her hair and nails done. She worked hard all her life. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and attending all her grandchildren’s various events. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On August 21, 1954, she married Michael Tarbuck, Jr. who died January 24, 2005. Surviving are two sons, Michael D. Tarbuck of Washington, PA, and Mark D. (Adrienne) Tarbuck of Nevillewood, PA; a sister, Esther (the late Leroy Cimino) Cimino of Washington, PA and two grandchildren, Christina M. (Cameron) Payne and Brandon M. Tarbuck. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by several siblings and a daughter in law, Mary Lynn Tarbuck.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Friday, December 8, 2023, from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Entombment will follow in Forst Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.
