David L. Dicks

David L. Dicks, 80, of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.  He was born on October 23, 1943, in Washington, PA, a son of the late Frank W. and Margaret O. Kiger Dicks.  Mr. Dicks was a graduate of Trinity High School and served in the United States Air Force.  He worked for over 30 years as a self-employed Dental Lab Technician, a trade he learned while serving in the Air Force.  Mr. Dicks was an avid Penn State Football fan and enjoyed working outside and taking care of his property.  He loved the outdoors and walking his border collies.  Mr. Dicks will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

On June 7, 1969, he married Kathleen Marie Hassett, who passed away on August 6, 2023.  Surviving is a son, David M. (Laurelle) Dicks, of Washington, PA; a daughter, Dawn R. (Mark Setto) Dicks, of Pittsburgh, PA; two brothers, Frank (June) Dicks, of Washington, PA, and Robert (Bonnie) Dicks, of Washington, PA, and two grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Dicks.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Baker and Margaret Hohn; two brothers in law, Charles V. “Sparkie” Baker and Ed Hohn, and a nephew, Charles V. Baker, Jr.
