Samuel Ted Malone
Samuel Ted Malone, 78, of Houston, PA, formerly of Washington, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in his home with his family by his side. He was born December 19, 1944, in Washington, PA, a son of the late George A. and Delores S. Dorsey Malone. Mr. Malone was a graduate of McGuffey High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1965-1971, serving in Vietnam from 1968-1969. For his service in the Vietnam War, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 2 overseas bars, and the Sharpshooter M-14 badge. Mr. Malone was a self-taught draftsman and was employed at McGraw Edison which later became Pennsylvania Transformer from where he retired. He was at one time a member of the Claysville Volunteer Fire Department and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Malone will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On September 17, 1966, he married Carol Eileen Mast who passed away on August 19, 2021. Surviving is a daughter, Michelle (Walt) Lober of Houston, PA; two sons, Kevin (Deb) Malone of Frederick, MD, and Mark (Ashley) Malone of Latrobe, PA; two sisters, Catherine Knodle of Texas and Susan (Ross) McAdoo of Washington, PA and eight grandchildren, Walter, Trey, and Lauren Lober and Zachary, Ian, Nick, Makenna, and Kylie Malone.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. Until 1:00 P.M. the hour of a funeral service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Owner/Supervisor, S. Timothy Warco II, Director, Holly Renay Warco, Director, Park N. Crosier, Director. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175 and the United States Army.
