Opal Lauren Rhodes

Opal Lauren Rhodes,44, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio.  Opal most recently lived in Washington, Pennsylvania, and was formerly of Robinson, Pennsylvania.  She was born on August 21, 1979, and was the beloved daughter of Carla Busch.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Orea and Maxwell "Boots" Busch; her mother-in-law, Judy Rhodes, and her aunt, Debbie Boring.

Opal was a graduate of United High School and Waynesburg University. She was a loyal employee of Jacobson Insurance Associates.  Opal had a zest for life and was known for her strength, bravery, and unforgettable smile.  Opal enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially on the boat on the lake.  She had an affinity for animals and showered her furry children, Emmy, Tess, and Rory with love.  Opal loved time with others and many joyous moments were spent with others, including watching fireworks light up the night sky.

Surviving to cherish Opal’s memory is her husband, Rodney Rhodes. Opal also is survived by her loving family, including her mother, Carla Busch; her father-in-law, Bill Rhodes; her uncle, Ed Boring; her cousin, Christopher Boring; and her sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Brett Barker, and their kids, Abby and Ben, who will deeply miss their “Aunt Apal,” as she was called.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from Noon until 1:30 P.M. the hour of service in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S.
