William R. Eichelberger III, 50, of Washington, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Montefiore Hospital after a very private and courageous battle with cancer. 

He was born on October 25, 1972 in Washington, PA, the son of the late Bob and Sue Eichelberger.

Bill was a 1991 graduate of Trinity Area High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. 

On October 17, 1998 he married RaeLynn Zimmaro who survies.

His work ethic and drive were above and beyond, simultaneously managing his career as a Corporate Recruiter while also owning and operating W.R. Capital, a property investment company.  He also was the first one to volunteer and lend a hand to help others.

Bill loved more than anything spending time with his family and friends at their lake house in Deep Creek, MD, playing cards, listening to music, and living his dream.  He loved being on the water, taking his son Alex and his nephews on Ranger rides, and letting Alex “drive” the boat.  He always had to make sure everyone around him was having a good time.

He was very active as a Leader and Scout Master for his son Max’s Boy Scout Troop 1315 going on countless outings and camping trips.  The most memorable trip was Seabase, on Big Munson Island in the Florida Keys.  He also served as a mentor to many of the scouts helping them reach the rank of Eagle Scout, including Max.   As a high school soccer player himself, he spent many years coaching Max’s soccer team for Washington Soccer.

He held a very strong bond with his friends, many of their friendships spanning over 40 years.  All of them having their own special “Ike” stories to tell, which always ended in contagious laughter.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, RaeLynn; his sons, Maxwell David and Alexander Robert, who were his pride and joy; his brother, Justin; sister-in-law, Dori; nephews, Austin and Nate; father and mother in-law, Tom and Pat Zimmaro, and brother-in-law, David.
