Barbara Blayney Hallmark

Barbara Blayney Hallmark, loving mother of five children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by loved ones, in Washington, PA.

‘Barbie’ or ‘Barbalinski’ as she was fondly called, was born on September 24, 1939 in Washington, PA to the late Orren Alexander and Ivie Mae Wood Blayney. Barb is survived by her five children, John of Florida Keys; Alex of Painesville, Ohio; William of Gainesville, Virginia; Lyin of Stratham, New Hampshire, and Jacquelyin (Jacki) of Washington, PA. 

She attended administrative training in D.C and worked for Washington County as a job placement officer for many years. 

Barbie will be remembered for her fiery red hair, vibrant spirit and how she enjoyed playing bingo and Shanghai Rum. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Elvis outside on her deck. Her love for her family shone through her devotion to the family’s annual Blayney reunion, in which Blayneys would travel from across the country to attend.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. The family will be holding a virtual Celebration of Life.
