Bessie P. “Bea” Oliverio, 99 of Washington died peacefully on Sunday-August 30, 2020 with her family by her side.  She was born November 3, 1920 in Washington PA the daughter of the late Sam and Mamie Spagnola Introvartolo.  Mrs. Oliverio was a graduate of Washington High School and attended Penn Commercial.  She was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  Mrs. Oliverio ran Johnny’s Market alongside her husband for several years.  She later was employed as a supervisor at the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau for 24 years before retiring in 1995.  She was a member of the Democratic Council of Women.  She enjoyed shopping for clothes, cooking and baking.  Mrs. Oliverio was known for her meatballs and biscotti cookies.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

On June 4, 1946 she married John Oliverio who died on May 28, 1998.  Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Jim) Bradford of Indiana and Elizabeth “Beth Ann” Meeks of Washington; five grandchildren, Mamie (Jason) Pepper of California, James (Lidia) Bradford II of California, Timothy (Briana) Meeks of Indiana, Sally (David) Groves of Washington and Marcus (Fiance-Jenna Beck) Meeks of Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, Zofia, John and Robert Bradford, Noah and Sam Pepper, Emma and Isabella Groves and Monroe Meeks.  Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who were all very special to Mrs. Oliverio also survive.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Oliverio was preceded in death by a son, John Anthony Oliverio; a brother, Gandy (Betty) Interval and by two sisters, Mary Grace (Joe) Trifaro and Rose Mary Interval.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care that was given to Mrs. Oliverio by her many caregivers throughout the years. 

Due to state mandated COVID-19 restrictions there will be no public visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial which is open to the public will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday-September 4, 2020 in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W.
