Betty Jayne Chatman

Betty Jayne Chatman, 88 of Washington passed away peacefully on Thursday-December 26, 2019.  She was born May 12, 1931 in Pittsburgh PA the daughter of the late Collins and Winnie Wormsley.  Mrs. Chatman attended Trinity High School.  She worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Trinity High School for over 30 years and also served as a cheerleading advisor for many years at Trinity.  She was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Washington.  Mrs. Chatman was a great cook and baker.  She had a love for Trinity Wrestling and loved spending time with her family especially the times spent with her three grandsons and great grandson.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. 

On August 19, 1948 she married John H. Chatman who died September 25, 2000.  Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Richard “Byrd”) Sadler of Washington and Barbara Chatman of Canonsburg; two sons, John H. “Bimbo” (Toni L.) Chatman Jr. of Washington and Emmett F. Chatman of Washington; three grandsons, Jarrod R. Sadler, Patrick C. (Kasey) Sadler and Cullen J. Chatman; a great grandson, Kameron P. Sadler; a brother in law, Chappie Chatman and two sisters in law, Anne Chatman and Eleanor Chatman.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received on Monday-December 30, 2019 from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday-December 31, 2019.  Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Human Society, P.O.
