Lifelong Member of Immaculate Conception Church

Mary Catherine Manion, 95 of Amity formerly of Washington died Sunday-April 29, 2018 in her home.  She was born January 3, 1923 in Cumberland Maryland the daughter of Bretz C. and Anna M. Soethe Ketterman.  Mrs. Manion was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church.

She was married for over fifty years to Charles R. Manion who died August 21, 1998.  Surviving is a daughter; Kathleen (Charles) Rockwell of Amity, three sons; Dennis (Judy) Manion of Waldorf, Maryland, Thomas (Kathleen) Manion of Rolla, Missouri and David (Becki) Manion of Steubenville, Ohio.  Eleven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive.  Mrs. Manion was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Mrs. Manion was preceded in death by two sisters; Frances Graves and Patricia Riley, one grandson; Todd Manion and one great-granddaughter; Josephine Manion.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday-May 5, 2018 in the Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut St. Washington with the Rev. Dan Waruszewski as celebrant.  Interment will be private in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to the Washington City Mission, 84 W.
