Paul N. Binder Sr.

Paul N. Binder Sr., 84 of Washington died Sunday-December 3, 2017 at the Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.  He was born August 13, 1933 in Washington the son of the late Anthony & Hallie Myers Binder.  Mr. Binder was a 1953 graduate of Trinity High School.  He was first employed at Hazel Atlas Glass Factory for a number of years.  He later went on to work for the City of Washington Police Department for 23 years retiring as a Captain.  He then became employed by Pella Windows for 10 years.  Mr. Binder enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden.  He was a skilled mechanic that could fix anything.  He was a member of the Alpine Club where he was a member of a bowling league, the Washington Beagle Club, the Independent Club and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 95.  Mr. Binder was a family man, enjoying his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

On December 24, 1953 he married Norma Jean Harton Binder who survives.  Also surviving are two sons; Paul N. (Fran) Binder Jr. of Washington and Jeffrey A. (Denise) Binder of Meadow Lands, one sister; Dolores Loar of Washington, two grandchildren; Paul N. Binder III of Washington and Brian A. (Summer) Binder of Apex, North Carolina, two great-grandchildren; Harrison Binder & Elliot Rose Binder. 

In addition to his mother and father, Mr. Binder was preceded in death by a brother; Kenneth Binder and a sister; Jean Orbin. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday-December 6, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc.,  Wilson at E. Katherine Ave., Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 95 will render a service at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday in the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday-December 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.
