Perry Christopher Smith, 56 of Washington died unexpectedly Wednesday-November 1, 2017 at his home as a result of heart related issues.  He was born July 3, 1961 in San Antonio, Texas the son of the late Dr. Perry C. Smith Jr. & Mary O’Hare Smith of Washington.  Mr. Smith was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  He was a 1979 graduate of Gilmore Academy in Cleveland, Ohio and had also attended Penn State University.  He served in the United States Air Force receiving the following decorations & citations; AF Training Ribbon, AF Good Conduct Medal, AF Overseas Service Ribbon-short tour, AF basic military training Honor Graduate Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, AF Outstanding Unit Award w/1 OLC and the AF Commendation Medal.  Following his discharge from the military, Mr. Smith graduated from Villanova University with a Civil Engineering Degree.  He later attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Surviving in addition to his mother are four sisters; M. Patricia Smith of Brooklyn, New York, Deborah A. Smith of Bethel Park, Susan DeMeglio of Atlanta, Georgia, Kathleen (Robert) Smith-Delach of Pittsburgh, two brothers; James Smith of Pittsburgh & Michael (Gretchen) Smith of State College, nieces & nephews; Elizabeth (Mark) Snover, Jennifer (Ryan) Relyea, David Lower, George DeMeglio, Sara Delach, Caitlin Delach, Jack Lower, Murphy DeMeglio, Maclean Smith, Seamus Smith & Moira Smith. 

In addition to his father, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a brother; Paul Smith. 

Friends will be received on Friday-November 3, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at E. Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.  A prayer service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday-November 4, 2017 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. William P. Feeney as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
