Leonard "Red Cap" Ross

April 18, 1928 - November 15, 2014

Leonard “Red Cap” Ross Member of Apostolic Christian Temple Leonard “Red Cap” Ross, 86 of Washington formerly of Bridgeville passed away on Saturday-November 15, 2014 in Kindred Hospital, Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness. He was born April 18, 1928 in Bridgeville Pa. the son Charles and Bessie Smith Ross. Mr. Ross was employed as a night time stock associate at Shop ‘N Save until his retirement. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Temple. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mr. Ross loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. On August 10, 1987 he married Jeannette D. Asbury of Washington who survives. Also surviving are four sons; Clifford C. Ross of Washington, Timothy Ross of Pittsburgh, Raymond (Aurora) Asbury of Washington and Sherman (Donna) Brown of Washington, two daughters; Mary L. Harper of Pittsburgh and Anissa M. (Charlie) Asbury of Washington, 23 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Ross was the last of his immediate family. Preceding Mr. Ross in death were two sons; Ricky and Arthur Ross, two sisters and two brothers. Friends will be received on Friday-November 21, 2014 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 P.M. in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues Washington, S. Timothy Warco, Supervisor/Director, Susan Falvo Warco, Director, S. Timothy Warco II, Director. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday-November 22, 2014 in the Apostolic Christian Temple, 164 W. Wylie Ave. Washington with Pastor Myron C. Jones II officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Temple, 164 W. Wylie Ave. Washington Pa. 15301.
