Delories Elaine Hull Jacobs

February 3, 1929 - September 11, 2014

Delories Elaine Hull Jacobs Plant Grower, Bingo Player and Avid Card Player Delories Elaine Hull Jacobs went to be with The Lord on Thursday-September 11, 2014. She was born on February 3, 1929 to the parents of Thomas and Sudie Hull. She attended Washington High School and Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. Early in life, she accepted Christ and grew up in Mount Zion Baptist Church. She later became a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served on the Relocation Committee. Upon relocation, Delories was a Missionary and participated with the Usher Board often. She served on the Kitchen Committee, and helped with the Children's Ministry as often as she could. In the mid-seventies, she helped organize the Welfare Rights organization. She served on the Lemoyne Community Center House Committee. Along with friends, Delories helped establish “The Associates”, a club for Entrepreneurs & Promoters of Top Flight Events. Washington County City Mission is where she was employed, as a Resource Aide until she retired in 2009. On November 20, 1962, she united with John R. Jacobs who died February 15, 1981, and to this union one child was born. She leaves to cherish her memory, her only sister; Margaret (Jean) Hull; four sons; Michael (Joy) Hull of Washington, Pa., Philipp (Cecilia) Hull of Warner Springs, CA., Aaron (Tracy) Hull of Arkon, Pa. Richard Hull of Altoona, Pa., three daughters; Mitchell R. Hull of Dallas, TX, Lisa M. Martin of Washington, Pa., and Jon'a (Calvin) Holly of Jonesville, LA., twelve grandchildren; Anthony, Jennifer, Lee-sha, Jasmine, Kalen, Troy, James, Joshua, Tyler, Jordan, Jah'nia and Marcus, seven great grandchildren; Summer, Anthony, Journee, Azia, Dane, Mackenize and Payton. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, one daughter; Olivia, three brothers; Lee, Vernon and Warren and two sisters; Madeline and Gloria. Friends will be received on Friday-September 19, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 17 East Walnut St. Washington Pa. A Home Going Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday-September 20, 2014 in the church with the Rev. Richard D. White, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. All floral deliveries should be sent directly to the church after 2:00 P.M. on Friday.
