Audrey A. Birchok Orlof

Audrey A. Birchok Orlof, 70 of Washington formerly of Cecil died Friday-August 22, 2014 at Hixenbaugh's Personal Care Home, Claysville. She was born August 4, 1944 in Clairton Pa., the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mary Padala Birchok. Mrs. Orlof was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also belonged to the Western Pennsylvania Byzantine Catholic choir for many years. She taught Sunday school at the church and was very active within the church making pierogies and nut rolls for church fundraisers. Mrs. Orlof worked for the United States Army Corps of Engineers from where she retired. She is survived by her adopted daughter; Cathy (Frank) Devore of Charleroi, brothers; Daniel (Ann Marie) Birchok of Cecil and David (Veronica) Birchok of Oakdale, one sister; Maryann Pennekamp of Keedysville, Md. At the request of the family there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Devine Liturgy Mass will be held at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg on Wednesday-August 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Jugan as celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter or the American Diabetes Association.
